I'm going to start something new. It's called "Album of the week" - Well I don't really know if i'll have a new album each week, but I guess i'll talk about a really awesome album when I feel like it. Preferably once a week.
This weeks album is:
Josh Pyke - Chimney's Afire
*applause*
So I told you that i'd have something about yesterday (the day after my first entry). Well BOY do I have things to tell! Okay let's start from the top.
I knew I was going to go out with Jenny, because I had planned to. My dad took the car out in the morning and promised to bring it back by 11 but as my sister and I had finished getting ready, it was already 11:20 and my dad hasn't come home yet. So I hopped onto the computer while I waited...as you do. I checked Myspace (http://myspace.com/misstooheys) and then there was a bulletin post by Josh Pyke!

So...seeing as I was already heading towards the city for our outing, I msged Jen excitedly, telling her the greatest news. I think it was actually fate that my dad took a while to get home or else I wouldn't have actually checked Myspace. So thank you dad for your incompetency! :)
When dad came home, my sister and I rushed out to pick up Steve and go to the city. We picked up Jenny from TownHall (but my sister literally had to park and talk to Jen over the phone to look for her). Then Vy (sister) dropped us off at the Virgin Megastore. We were literally about to pee our pants because we were so excited. Haha, not good if you're about to see Josh Pyke in the flesh! But yeah, then we went around the store because it was kind of our first time to go into it (we usually go to places like jbhi-fi. sorry virginmegastore). I bought the album and the guy was kind enough to give me AND Jenny a poster. Because he asked if she was seeing Josh as well and then she said yes and he was like *gives a free poster* :D Thank You Kind Man!
Hmm yeah, so now you've kind of figured out why I said Josh Pyke's album was my album of the week. I just bought it yesterday and it's awesome, to say the least. I love his music because it's the kind of music you can listen to and never get annoyed after listening to it 432489327543897543 times.
Back to the story, there weren't alot of people and even though there was about 15 minutes left till he came, it took a very long time. He performed a few songs, all of them from the new album except for Middle of the Hill <3 Link! http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=b9uwlz6p_lg I ended up getting him to sign my album instead of the poster...even though I kind of regret it but yeah anyways! Still good!
But yeah, anyways! He recognised Jen!! It was so fantastic! He was all like "Hey, didn't I teach you guitar once?" and Jen was like "Yeah! Hey I love your music!" and he was like "Yeah thanks! So are you still playing?" and she was like "Yeah, I play at Newtown now!" and he was like "Oh wow that's really good! Playing at Newtown!". Anyways, that's not a word for word recount but it was pretty close haha. Then I asked him if we could take a piccie! And yeah. Here's the pic!

It turned out better than I expected but yeah. I was all shaky when I was smiling...my teeth were close to chattering. No idea why, but Jen and I were pretty nervous when we were taking the pic. But the girls around us were all jittery as well. More than us though. The girl infront wanted to swap her guitar pick with Josh's, and he joked around saying that he didn't like her pick, but he ended up swapping with her anyways...and her hand was literally shaking like there was an earthquake because she was so nervous. Laugh Out Loud. Also, the girl behind us started saying she'd cry (obviously because she lurves josh alot)...too bad it didn't happen. That would've been a laugh.
Anyways, after all of this happened, we went out and went to the LARGEST DYMOCK'S STORE I'VE EVER SEEN! It has three levels and the bottom one (which is the best) is the kids one! And they had Harry Potter toys on sale for $2 and I bought one for myself and a friend (how nice am I?). I was so close to buying this HUGE one for $20 but I thought it was a waste of money. *Sigh* Too bad they didnt have Ron Weasley! I ended up saving heaps though because I just looked at the back of the box of the toy and it says it USED to be $30! SO BARGAIN THERE! *grins*

When I was buying it, we had this woman who served us and she was talking to this guy who was wearing a Popular Penguin's tee, and Jenny really wanted it. So we asked her if she could get one, and then the employees went frantically around the whole store seeing if she could get one. It caused quite a stir, but then the woman said they didn't have any, but she felt bad for us and gave us a FREE DRAGON BOOK? From behind the desk, saying "Don't tell anyone I gave this to you!" She was our new best friend.

I know...we don't really like dragons or anything...but free things always make me happy! Plus at the back it has this awesome envelope with stickers inside! Weeeeeee!

After all of this, we had to go to Pitt St. We went into Borders and they have 20% off Penguin books (including Popular Penguins) and so I bought Jane Eyre and Lolita!
I now have four Popular Penguins! Yes! I WILL succeed in obtaining them all! (I HOPE) I haven't started reading any of them yet though (insert worried frown)
When we finished buying books, we went to this English Treats store! YAY! Less Than Three! And because I'm destined to live in England in the near future, I HAD to buy something! I ended up buying Winegums and Cheesy Wotsits, I haven't tried the Wotsits yet but the Winegums are DELICIOUS :D

Jen and I felt a bit peckish afterwards, so we ate and then when we finished, we went to SugarFix and she ended up buying Reese's peanut butter cups because I haven't had them before...and I bought Hershey's Kisses (Yummo)
When we got bored, we ended up walking to the MCA (Museum of Contemporary Arts) and then we were looking at this exhibition which was really awesome. There was a part where they had the mannequins set up so they are all in different sexual positions, they were hilarious! It's a must see! But yeah, it was a shame I didn't take any photos inside the MCA but yeah. We also went to another exhibition upstairs, it was a video one. There was this room where they had different screens just showing different coloured squares and no one was there so Jen and I ended up randomly dancing around. Hehe..fun times! I ended up getting a bit of a head ache after watching all of the things though.
There was this video on the wall (Jenny's favourite) with a woman saying something like "I piss where I want to. I piss when I want to" and she said something else..and then she just randomly started pissing on the floor?! Charming.
We got tired after all of that, so we were ready to head home. Called up Vy to see where she was, she said she was at the Australian Art Museum and Jenny lied and said she knew where it was. So we ended up walking far into the Botanical Gardens without knowing where we were going. (By the way, we walked all the way from Pitt St down to Circular Quay to get to MCA which was a very far walk, where we passed alot of hot guys - - Esp. these buskers in Pitt St - - and we walked from MCA all the way around to the other side, near the Opera House and into the gardens) We ended up taking heaps of pictures...which are up here: http://flickr.com/photos/myyuht/
A long time afterwards, we ended up getting picked up by Vy and Steve from the Opera House round-a-bout. And went home...well we dropped off Jen at the station because she was supposed to come over but couldn't :( Anyways, that's about it. I had a massive headache afterwards but it was all worth it. I think it might've been the best day of the Holidays! It was seriously full of luck!
Less than Three!
P.S. My Title is part of this song from Josh Pyke's new album! (L)
