I had to go to the youtube gathering in Sydney.
It was called "AusOne 08".
I have a major for Society and Culture (my PIP - Personal Interest Project) and because I spend so much time on the internet, my topic is going to be about online communications and Youtube is one part of the topic.
With the gathering coming up, I knew I could use a methodology (PARTICIPANT OBSERVATION) as part of my research for the PIP at the gathering.
I told my teacher that I'd be doing this, and she said it'd be really good to do for my assignment so yeah.
I planned to go with Dals and Jenny.
This is because they are the only people that hear about me going on and on about the Youtubes every single day! (<3 you guys)
Lauren and Caitlyn were joking around about going but they both didn't end up going.
annnnddd yeahh!
ON SATURDAY MORNING:
I was too tired to go but I had to.
I borrowed my aunties camera to record things just in case. (THANKYOU!)
My brother and his girlfriend drove us to circular quay. (THANKYOU!!!)
Dals and I got there and were just looking at the small-ish crowd.
Ummm...so we planned to not do anything until Jen came..which was a tad bit later.
So we sat on this...thing and watched the youtubers hang out with eachother.
Trust me, I know I pretend to be all stalkerish but this was just...TOO stalkerish!
It was like I was a real stalker because we were just sitting far away and we'd sometimes record people from a distance but we never walked up to anyone!!
Nothing happened when Jen came.
Well, not true.
We got to about one metre away from the people (that is really close!)
And then they announced they were going to catch a ferry to MANLY!!!

My brother and his gf were waiting and asked if I wanted to go.
I had a feeling I'd still be chicken even if I went to Manly so I didn't end up going.
So... I WASTED THE WHOLE BLARDY DAY BEING A STUPID CHICKEN WHO COULDN'T EVEN GET OVER HER STUPID GIRL-ISH FEARS FOR HER MAJOR ASSESSMENT TASK!!!
Jen, Dals and I went shopping afterwards though..
In Pitt St.
I found this bag that was REALLY AWESOME *tear
in General Pants and it ended up being 80$
I bought Into the Wild (the two disk set) for 13$!!!
I know. BARGAIN!
AND I bought a book that I've been waiting for FOR forevs!!

I just remembered!
When Dals and I were watching the youtubers from afar, there was this little toddler girly that threw her milk bottle at a passer-byer. It was hilarious.
Oh! And Dals got really freaked out by the seagulls who had pointy beaks that were black at the tips because apparently "IT'S DRIED BLOOD!!!"
